Xcaret Layout

Hi fellow crafters, I am so excited to share my layout with you all today. I got into paper crafting for this reason, to make layouts for all my pictures, but as I started exploring other crafting techniques and paper projects I distant myself from scraping layouts. This is why I am excited to share with you all a layout:)lol.

This picture was taken back in August 2009, almost five years ago. I told you I have to catch up on my scrapbooking lol.
Close Up
This picture was taken in one of Cancun's theme parks called Xacart. My boyfriend and I went while we were out in Cancun for our friends wedding. This theme park is amazing! Its full of natural beauty and wonder. I truly loved it, and would love to go back. Its a must do on the Cancun visit list.

I used the sketch from Sketchabilities for my layout. I love using sketches, they're inspirational, and make scrapbooking fun for me:)

I used sequence, some recycled net, a prima flower, twine, seashells and starfish cut outs. Some My Creative Time products, and two white seashells I brought back from the white sandy beaches of Cancun:)
I used Cuttlebug's D'vine Swirl on a strip of paper to give more detail. This cute flower tag is from the Silhouette store. I plan on doing some journaling on it, and tucking it back behind the blue paper so my handwriting won't show lol.

All of the paper I used except the 12x12 for my background, was from my scraps stash, yay! The word Xcaret was cut with my Cricut. I used the Life's a Beach Circuit Cartridge.

My Creative Time products used:

4th of July Card

Hello Happy Crafters:) I have a 4th of July card to share with you all today

I used the card sketch as well as the color inspiration pallet from My Creative Time.

When I saw the inspiration pallet I thought, "stars" :)lol. So I used My Creative Time 3 Star Stitched Die, and the stars from 4x4 Journal Die and All Around Holidays.

I got a little artsy and painted some of my stairs with paint:)lol.

I got a little creative and made Uncle Sams hat with My Creative Time "I'm A Lucky Girl" die and stamp set. This cute die hat was perfect.
The blue and red postage line stamp was from My Creative Time "Build a Postcard" stamp set. I used Memento Lady Bug and Danube Blue ink for this stamp.

For the inside of me card, I used a die cut from the Silhouette store.

Birthday Wishes Card

Hello fellow crafters:) Today I have a birthday card to share.

My inspiration for this card came from a lot of places lol.

I used Peachy Keen's color pallet for the color inspiration with my flowers, barrel, and tag.

For my card layout, I used Cardabilities card sketch for my  inspiration.

Then I turned to my stamps and Distress markers for inspiration lol.

I cut a tag out of white cardstock, grabbed my new background stamp from Peachy Keen, inked it with embossing ink, sprinkled clear embossing powered and heat dried it. Then I took my Dried Marigold Distress ink and inked my tag. I loved the way the clear embossing powder resisted the Distress ink:)

I water colored the flowers and barrel with Distress inks. The cute ducky was colored with Spectrum Nior markers. I added some yellow and cream sequence to the side of my card for some sparkle:)

I used a combination of two great products to make my card. Peachy Keen and My Creative Time, you can find their products on their online store.
Here are some pictures of the rest of the supplies I used:)

This is the stamp set I used for my card:) You can find the stamp set (Here's Looking at You) at My Creative Time. Her stamps are awesome! Not to mention this stamp set comes with dies, and they are so easy to use.

Hello fellow crafters:) Hope everyone had a great weekend. I was able to sneak some time in to make fathers day cards:) lol. I made this card to give to my dad. Its pretty simple but for being a "guy card" I loved how easy it came together. I always have a hard time making masculine cards lol.

So here's my card:) I thought it turned out pretty cute lol.

This is the inside of my card. I think I went a little crazy with the mustache stamping lol.

All of the the dies and stamps that I used are from My Creative Time. These stamp sets are perfect for making Fathers Day Cards and masculine cards:)  The Washie tape is from my stash:)

CAS Birthday Card

Hello fellow crafters:) Here's my first attempt to make a CAS card:)lol. I always have a hard time making CAS cards because I always want to put so much into my card lol.

My inspiration for the card came from Freshly Made Sketches. The DT created wonderful cards. Jennifer Brum's card really caught my eye. Loved the simplicity and elegance her card had, and the glitter strips were a perfect touch:) I decided to create my own glitter strips by using double sided glue tape and glitter, super easy and fun to make:) This card came together so fast. The cute flower was a left over from a previous project, and well the glitter and ribbon I had:)

Both sentiments ( outside & inside of card) are from My Creative Time

My first visit to Scrapbooking Made Simple!

Hello fellow Crafters, I am super excited to share some pictures with you all from my first trip to Scrapbooking Made Simple. This crafting store is amazing Stacey the owner is super nice and sweet and so welcoming. I have been following Stacey and the SMS girls on Youtube and let me tell you Stacey is super talented and her personality, kindness, and laughter is contagious. You will love her:)

Walking into the store, I felt like a kid going to a toy store:)lol.

The store is full of crafting goodies, and trust me I wanted them all:)lol. I had no intention to buy anything that day, I just wanted to go see :)lol. How many of you crafters out there have done that before, visited a crafting store and walked out with bags full of crafting goodies? :)

Everyone in the store was so helpful, not to mention Stacey the owner gave us a tour of the store, showed us the upcoming make and takes and products, and over all she was truly a sweetheart. The best customer service that I have ever received at a craft store.

If you're ever in the Santa Clarita area, you must stop by the store, even if its just to say hi to Stacey:) Don't live near the Santa Clarita are, no worries because they have an online store, Scrapbooking Made Simple.

Also make sure to check Stacey and the SMS girls out on YouTube :)

That's all for me today, hope you all have a great day.

Birthday Card for Mom

Hello fellow Crafters, Happy Friday! I have a very special card to share with you all today. I made this birthday card for my mom:)

My color inspiration came from Cupcake Inspirations. Loved this color combo. Ok I know that my Apricot color is a little darker then the one on the color pallet but hey, it stills works :)lol.

I added lots of pop dots to give my card dimension. I don't know if you can see from the picture, but the paper has a very pretty metallic shine to it. The pretty paper rose is from my stash. I made it a few weeks ago with the Rolled Flower Dies from My Creative Time.

I used the DCWV "The Peachy Keen Stack. I Love this paper stack, I got it for sale at Joann's at the beginning of the year, and Im just getting the courage to use it up:)lol. Gotta love pretty paper:)lol.

Kept the inside of the card simple.

Lime Green Pearls from my stash
White Twine from my Stash
Sheer Ribbon from Stash
Paper Stack: DCWV The Peachy Keen Stack
Celebrate Good Times
