Sunset Background Card

Image
Hello fellow crafters:) I just finished my card for this weeks Peachy Keen Challenge "Create a card using your own background." For this challenge I knew that I wanted to create a sunset background and I wanted to use my new "Faceless Corn" set from Peachy Keen. So I got an ivory blank sheet of card stock, and my Tim Holtz Distress inks and went to work:) An attempt to a close up on the background  As I was looking through my stamps I saw My Creative Time "Hello Spring with Layering Egg Dies" and pictured the two little bunnies sharing a sunset. Unfortunately one of my bunnies didn't ink right, oh wells. I really liked how my card turned out, and had a lot of fun creating the background. I also tried paper piecing for the first time with the cute little corns. I can't wait to get more stamps to try this technique out again:)  I will be entering my card in the following challenges:  Peachy Keen : Challenge #15 Create a card wi

Hello fellow crafters:) Today I made a Birthday card to enter into  Peachy Keen's  Challenge #14 Color Inspiration and into Bitten by the Bug 2  Balloons and Birthday Card Challenge.  When I saw the photo inspiration of this weeks challenge I thought about making a mini album of my friends son. Octopus Birthday Card

Hello everyone:) This weeks  Peachy Keen  challenge is to create a card or a layout following the sketch provided.   I decided to make a birthday card for this challenge, here's what I came up with.  I used one of those white blank cards that you can get at Michaels or Joann's in packs of 25 or 50 and cut it in half, right at the scored line. I had envisioned using half of the card as a base and then using My Creative Time "Embossed Gift Card Holder" Die on top of it to add a gift card slot to the card.    Ta-da:)lol I love how the card turned out, it came out just how I had envisioned it. Yay, I love when that happens! I think that I will be making more cards like this one. Its really simple to make, and it's alway good to have back up birthday cards with room for a gift card;). How cute is he? :) The cute litte Octopus is from my all time favorite, "Create a Critter Cartridge." The adorable face stamp is Peachy Keen's &qu
