Rainy Days Picture Frame

Image
Peachy Keen is having a 3D object challenge with a Weather Theme. Many 3D ideas came to my mind but not all of them were weather related, that was until I saw this cute little Ducky from the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge. I got my handy-dandy Gypsy and went to work, and this is what I came up with; a Rainy Days Picture frame. Back side of the picture frame  This was my first time cutting out a picture frame with my Cricut. I was a bit nervous but excited to see how it would come out. I used the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge for the frame (page 68). I altered the frame a bit by making it an oval center instead of a circle. The frame was made with chip board, I cut out a mat in black so the inside could look nice. The paper I used to cover the frame was DCWV "Pocket full of Posies." I also add a piece of the clear packaging that the Cricut Cartridges come wrapped in to add a professional finish to the frame:)lol. Side View As you can see from the side view

Black & White Card

Image
I made a black and white card for  E.A.D Designs  February Color Challenge. I have to admit, I had never made a black and white card before. It was so hard not to add a splash of color to the card:)lol, but I'm really glad I didn't because I loved the way the card turned out. I think it looks pretty elegant and pretty. I used Mojo Monday 's sketch theme, because I will also be entering this card in Mojo Monday Sketch Challenge  . I had never used someone else's sketch to make a card, but I had fun with this challenge so I will be entering more sketch challenges in the future. Here's a bit of a close up I used my handy-dandy gypsy to help me get all the measurements down to match the sketch perfectly. The groom and bride are from the "Potpourri Basket" Cricut Cartridge. For the sentiment outside of the card I used My Creative Time "Teeny Tag Greetings" I love Emma's stamps, they are so versatile. Inside of the card I used an

Poodle Birthday Card

Today I made a simple but cute Birthday card using My Creative Time  "Embossed Gift Card Holder"die. I love this die because you can use it as a card or double it up and use it as a card and gift card holder. This time I'm using the die as a card, to top up a gift that I got for a friend. The cute pink poodle is from "Create a Critter" Cricut Cartridge, and the happy balloons are from "Once Upon a Princess" Cricut Cartridge. Inside of the card I used a super cute Pun sentiment from Scrappy Moms Stamps. Unfortunately I do not have the name of this stamp set at hand, but I am going to look it up and post it later on. I will be entering this card in a couple of challenges: Fantabulous Cricut : Challenge Me Monday #98-Fun with Puns Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge : Just Cards Challenge 05- Friendship Cardz Tv : Cricut Challenge #102 "A stich in time" Card Makin Mamas : Card for a Birthday List of Supplies: My Creative Time &quo

Bug Card

When I saw the inspiration photo for this week’s Peachy Keen Challenge, I thought to myself, how yummy J lol. Looking at the bowl of yummy fruit I got a mental picture of an outdoor gathering on a nice warm summer day. With yummy sweet fruit out like this, on a warm summer day, it never seems to surprise me that some sort of bug or a dozen ants will be close by. So I thought it would be fun to make a card with a cute little ant on it. I used the colors of the fruit form the inspiration picture to create my card.                                                        I created the card on my handy-dandy Gypsy. The card is from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. I believe that the flower is from April Showers Cricut Cartridge (hope that's the name of the cartridge), and for the cute ant, I used the Best of Disney/Pixar Cricut Cartridge.   Here's a close up The card didn't come up how a envisioned it in my mind, because I got a little confused on

Love Bird's Anniversary Card

Image
Hi fellow Crafter's:)  Simply Crafts  is having their monthly challenge. This month they've chosen the super cute tree with the hearts from the Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge. Here's what I came up with:) The  card was designed on my handy-dandy gypsy. I used the card feature on page 37 from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. Sorry I don't have the exact measurements for the card but it fits in a A2 size envelope. I used My Creative Time "Script Type Backgrounds"stamp set, along with Tim Holtz "Tattered Rose" Distress Ink on the base of the card. The tree and the little Love Bird's are from Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the tree trunk with Cuttlebug's "Distress Strips" folder, and for the bird nest I used Cuttlebug's "Forest Branches" folder and Distressed it with "Tea Dye". Here's a bit of a close up  I added some stitching to the little Love Bird's with my white

I Love You Tag!

Yay, another project completed! :)lol! With Valentines around the corner, many blog's are having challenge's with a Valentine's theme. Hearts, pinks, reds, love is in the air and I'm loving it! Using the Sweetheart's Cricut Cartridge, I created this super cute 4 x 2 1/2 inch tag. I'm planing to put the tag in a mini album that I am planing to make, I just have to get the courage to start it (I've never made one before:)lol. This is the very first tag I make, and I think that it came out pretty cute.   I designed the tag on my handy-dandy Gypsy (I just love my Gypsy!), I used the Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge for the tag. First I cut the tag out from chipboard, just for sturdiness, then I cut two tag's in pink (the paper is from DCWV) so I could cover the chipboard up. I used "Tattered Rose"Distress Ink around the edges to cover the chipboard and also to give the tag a bit of the distress look.  Here's a bit of a close up For the

Peachy Keen Challenge 03: Paper Roll

Image
This weeks Peachy Keen challenge is to create a project with an empty toilet roll.  At first I wasn't sure what I wanted to do, but once I cut out the toilet roll into strips, I decided that I wanted to make a flower. I then thought to myself that this would make a good christmas tree ornament.   I painted the toilet roll strips purple (my favorite color) with some Acrylic paint that I had gotten at Michaels awhile ago. After the paint dried, I used  my glue gun to adhere the petals together. I added some Scotch clear glue to the border part of the petals and then sprinkled some Twinklets Diamond Dust to give some sparkle and Christmas feel to the ornament.  For the center of the flower ornament, I used the "Build a Banner Kit" from My Creative Time. The cute little face is from Peachy Keen's "PK-640 Princess Face Assortment" set. I added pink chalk for some cute little cheeks, and then glued it onto my flower ornament.  I hole-pun
