Dr. Who Happy Birthday Banner
Hello Fellow crafters:) Hope everyone is doing well! I have an awesome project to share with all of you today. I made a Dr. Who birthday banner for my boyfriend's surprise party. Ok for all you Whovians out there, you know that Dr. Who party supplies is not sold at our local party supplies store, lol. So what does that mean for us Whovians? That we need to get crafty and create our own party supplies lol. And that's what I did. I got my Cricut out, and made a simple but I think very cute Birthday banner:)lol.
This is my first time making a banner of any kind, so I am rather proud of how my first banner turned out lol.
I used my Gypsy to layout the letters on the virtual 12x12 cutting mat so I can get the most out of my 12x12 Tardis blue paper. The letters were cut out with my Cricut machine at 5 inches each. The letters are from the Hanna Montana Cricut Cartridge. I used some silver and blue stickels and alternated colors between letters. I don't think you can tell from the pictures but I put little dots of stickles all around the letter.
Ok the cute little white marshmallow thing is called an Adipose. It is a character from Dr. Who. As you can probably tell, it was hand drawn lol. Let me tell you, these things may look easy to draw but they are not lol. My sister inlaw helped me draw the Adipose. Thanks Cris!
I went online and got some pictures of villains featured in Dr. Who, I printed them, fussy cut them out,and glued them down to some of the letters of the banner.
I used my crop-a-dile to punch two holes in each letter to run some silver curly string (the string used on balloons). The twirly blue shiny streamers and stars in the background are from party city:)lol
Well that's it for me today. All I can say, is that I had so much fun making this banner. I think I will be making more banners in the future, maybe some holiday ones.
I would like to enter my banner in the following challenges:
Sentimental Sundays: Challenge 176 Happy Birthday Sentiments
Challenges 4 everybody: Challenge 31 Anything Goes
Brownsugar Challenge: Challenge 64 Blue Gray and White
Make sure to stop by these fun challenges and join in on the fun.
Peace, Love, & Cricut Hugs!
Monica L.
