Octopus Birthday Card

Hello everyone:) This weeks Peachy Keen challenge is to create a card or a layout following the sketch provided.

I decided to make a birthday card for this challenge, here's what I came up with.
I used one of those white blank cards that you can get at Michaels or Joann's in packs of 25 or 50 and cut it in half, right at the scored line. I had envisioned using half of the card as a base and then using My Creative Time "Embossed Gift Card Holder" Die on top of it to add a gift card slot to the card.

Ta-da:)lol

I love how the card turned out, it came out just how I had envisioned it. Yay, I love when that happens! I think that I will be making more cards like this one. Its really simple to make, and it's alway good to have back up birthday cards with room for a gift card;).

How cute is he? :)
The cute litte Octopus is from my all time favorite, "Create a Critter Cartridge." The adorable face stamp is Peachy Keen's "PK-441 Cute & Cuddly 1-8th inch faces. (I won this stamp set at Simply Crafts Challenge Blog, and I have been wanting to use them for awhile:) The Birthday sentiment is from My Creative Time "Gift Card Sentiment"set.

I couldn't resist putting an Action Wobble on the cute little Octopus:)lol.

I will be entering my card at:
