Card for Challenges: Cupid!

Image
Yay! I did another card for a few challenges. This card was inspired by the inspiration photo that Peachy Keen used for Challenge #2. When I saw the picture I thought to myself, how romantic and elegant.  I knew that I wanted to create a card that had pinks, and blues in it.  So I got my handy-dandy Gypsy and I went to work.  Here's what I came up with. It's not the original vision I had for the card, but non-the-less I was happy with how it came out and felt that it look cute, and elegant:)lol. I used the Sweethearts Cricut cartridge for the cupid and the frame/tag. For the swirl frame I used the Storybook Cricut cartridge. As for the Peachy Keen Stamp I used the "PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment." For my Valentines day sentiment I used My Creative "Time 100% Sweetness" stamp set. Here's a close up of the card. I tried out Glora's "background Stamp Technique"(which is using VersaMark watermark stamp pad and clear e...

Cards for Winter's Valentines Day Card Drive:)

Image
Winter from  http://winterwonderlandcrafter.blogspot.com  is hosting a card drive for Saint Jude's Hospital. I told Winter I wanted to help her, so between my cousin, my mom, and I, we made 11 cards for the card drive. Due to a busy schedule, we we're only able to make 11 cards, totally not the number of cards I had envisioned, nontheless we made a few cards and we shipped them out to Winter before the the January 31st deadline. Here are some pictures of our cute little cards:)  All the little critters are from the Create a Critter Cartridge. I love this cartridge, its cute and the layers are simple. Those were close ups of two cards I made. It was so much fun making cute valentine's day cards for kids. If you have some time to make some cards for the card drive and send them to Winter before the 31st , please visit her blog and let her know that you wan to help out. Thanks for visiting. Peace, Love, and Cricut Hugs! Monica L.

Peachy Keen Pocket Challenge #01 Yay, I'm super excited this is my first Challenge entry! The challenge is to make a project with a pocket and to use a Peachy Keen Stamp. I made this card with my Cricut, and my handy dandy Gypsy. The cartridge I used was the Once Upon a Princess cartridge and I used PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment on the balloons and PK-480 Christmas Character Face Assortment on the little Birthday Girl. Until Next Time, Monica L.

Valentines Day Card Drive!

This weekend I got an email from Northridge Publishing, and in the email there was a link to a Valentines Day Card Drive. The Card Drive is organized by Winter at http://winterwonderlandcrafter.blogspot.com, and the drive is dedicated to help bring cheer to children in hospitals. I thought it was a great cause and I will be joining the drive. If anyone else is interested, please visit Winter's blog and let her know you want to help out:) I will be posting pictures of my cards for the drive later on:) Monica L.

I did it, I started a blog:)lol!

I have been wanting to start a blog for a while so that I could have the opportunity to enter card and scrapbooking challenges. Now that I have obtained my bachelors degree and have some free time in my hands, I was encouraged by my super supportive boyfriend to take the leap and give the blogging world a shot. I have much to learn about blogging but I hope that it will be an exciting experience that will lead me to learn more crafting techniques and meet more talented crafters.
