Rainy Days Picture Frame
Peachy Keen is having a 3D object challenge with a Weather Theme. Many 3D ideas came to my mind but not all of them were weather related, that was until I saw this cute little Ducky from the Create a Critter Cricut Cartridge. I got my handy-dandy Gypsy and went to work, and this is what I came up with; a Rainy Days Picture frame.
This was my first time cutting out a picture frame with my Cricut. I was a bit nervous but excited to see how it would come out. I used the Happy Hauntings Cricut Cartridge for the frame (page 68). I altered the frame a bit by making it an oval center instead of a circle. The frame was made with chip board, I cut out a mat in black so the inside could look nice. The paper I used to cover the frame was DCWV "Pocket full of Posies." I also add a piece of the clear packaging that the Cricut Cartridges come wrapped in to add a professional finish to the frame:)lol.
As you can see from the side view picture, I added pop dots to the ducky to make it stand out. For the cute little face, I used Peachy Keen's PK-754 Critter Faces SET A Medium. This is such a cute set, I have to say it's a must have:) It coordinates so well with the Create a Critter Cartridge.
How cute is this ducky with it's matching rain boots and umbrella. I forgot to mention that the cloud and rain drops are from Serenade Cricut Solutions Cartridge. I add some Glossy Accents to the rain drops to give it a wet look.

I really liked how this cute little frame came out, and I had so much fun making it. I think that I will be making more of these in the future.
I will be entering the frame in:
