Love Bird's Anniversary Card
Hi fellow Crafter's:) Simply Crafts is having their monthly challenge. This month they've chosen the super cute tree with the hearts from the Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge. Here's what I came up with:)
The card was designed on my handy-dandy gypsy. I used the card feature on page 37 from the Art Philosophy Cricut Cartridge. Sorry I don't have the exact measurements for the card but it fits in a A2 size envelope. I used My Creative Time "Script Type Backgrounds"stamp set, along with Tim Holtz "Tattered Rose" Distress Ink on the base of the card. The tree and the little Love Bird's are from Sweethearts Cricut Cartridge. I used my Cuttlebug to emboss the tree trunk with Cuttlebug's "Distress Strips" folder, and for the bird nest I used Cuttlebug's "Forest Branches" folder and Distressed it with "Tea Dye".
I added some stitching to the little Love Bird's with my white Gelly Roll pen. I wanted to add rhinestones to the little birdies eyes to show how their staring into each others eye's madly in love, but I didn't have rhinestones that small, so I used the next best thing I had, Recollections rhinestone pearls. I couldn't help but add my boyfriends and my entails to the little hearts on the tree. Funny thing (well at least to me:) is that I put my entail first (I usually put my boyfriends first) but since the little girl birdie was first I put in M, then I put a Y for my boyfriends name and I ended up with my heart saying MY :)lol.
For the cute little sun I used two of the dies from My Creative Time "Build a Banner Kit," and of course I had to use my PK-490 Everyday Character Face Assortment form Peachy Keen Stamps. The "Love Birds" sentiment is a stamp from Studio G. I got this little stamp set for $1 from Joann's last February.
For the inside of my card I used My Creative Time "Gift Card Sentiments" stamp set and "More Gift Card Sentiments" To stamp Happy Anniversary Baby. I thought I could give this cute card to my sweetie for our anniversary in a couple of weeks:)
I will be entering this card in a few challenges.
