Color Inspiration Layout

Image
Peachy Keen is having a color theme inspiration challenge this week.  The Challenge: Create a project of your choice using the color palette as inspiration. Here’s what I cam up with. I love to take pictures of my friends, my family and my boyfriend and me. I take pictures of anything that catches my attention, and everywhere we go. Because of that I have developed a very big pile of pictures that need to be scrapbooked. So this year as a part of my New Years resolution I am doing more layouts J Yay! My boyfriend, our friends and I, got into the food truck craze and went out on a nice hot summer day, to a park in Long Beach for a Food Truck Festival. It was so much fun, and very delicious, not to mention we got to have NomNom, our favorite food truck. J   Supplies for layout: Cricut Cartridges: Simply Charmed for all the food cuts, Sendrea for the tree. Close to my heart for the font, and DoodleCharms for the food truck

Chickie Card

Emma at  Creative Time for me  is having a Cricut-less challenge for her Throwback Thursday Challenge. Since my boyfriend bought me my Expression Cricut machine about 2 or so years ago, the majority of my projects have had cuts from my cricut, so I really wanted to enter this challenge to try something fun and different.  Close up of the cute little Chickies:)      For the stamp I used My Creative Time "Hello Spring with Layering Egg Dies." Ok so I don't have any special art/stamping markers (at least not yet), so I used what I had (Crayola markers). I really enjoyed using stamps and coloring cute images, I definitely want to try this again, so I am going to look into getting some Copic Markers or maybe some of those new Tim Holtz Distress Markers (Hopefully a birthday gift, lol).   For the purple paper, I used the swirl egg shape stamp in the "Hello Spring with Layering Egg Dies" and  heat embossed it to give the paper a swirl background (loved h

Peachy Challenge 07: Sketch

Image
This week at  Peachy Keen Stamps  the challenge is to create a layout or card using the following sketch.   Here's what I came up with :)    I used the sketch and turned it into a Birthday Card. This cute little cake is from the Simply Charmed Cricut Cartridge.   Here's a bit of a close up  I wanted to use bright vibrant colors,  to make the card cheerful:) I used the Pk-490 "Everyday Character Face Assortment," for the cute little face. I added Stickles to the frosting, sprinkles, and to the fire on the candles. To help the candles standout, I used one of the cute pattern stamps from My Creative Time "Build a Banner Kit."   For the sentiment inside and outside of the card I used My Creative Time "Wow So Many Candles" Set. Love those Action Wobbles! To make the Birthday Card more interactive and fun, I added an action wobble to the cake. I will be entering my card in Peachy Keen Stamps Challenge : 07 Sketch. The c

Boot Card

Image
Bitten by the bug 2  is having a garden boot challenge. So when I saw this rain boot in the April Showers Cricut Cartridge, I knew that I wanted to make it into a shape card. Since spring is here, I wanted to go with a spring theme. Have you ever seen those cute flowerpots that are shaped like rain boots? Will thats where my inspiration came from. I added some tulips from the Create a Critter Cartridge to the top of the boot, to make it look like flowers were growing inside of it:) I used some of my Peachy Keen Stamps to give the flowers faces, and make the card cheerful. I stamped some spring theme images to the card, and added some Studio G glitter glue to outline the flowers on the rain boot. For the cute little tag and (Happy Spring) stamp, I used My Creative Time "Teeny Tag Greetings." For the inside of the card I stamped (Miss you) by My Creative Time "Small Talk" stamp set . I think this cute spring card would make a nice card to send to a f
